VALVAN
BALING SYSTEMS
is an
engineering company that specialises
in the design and construction of
hydraulic balers and accessories.
Valvan
started about 30 years ago by
building drying installations for
the flaxfiber-processing industry,
and is known for its waste
containers for 25 years.
About
15 years ago, the first waste
compactors were built. Soon, the
design of the first balers followed
thanks to the highly efficient
CAD-system that is used. A modest
start of a continual growth. Year
after year, more and larger balers
left the factory in Menen. In the
textile recycling industry, our
company saw the opportunity to
extend its know-how. Both young and
dynamic engineers and experienced
'old hands' were recruited for the
design of customized baling systems.
Valvan was successful in building
solid and efficient balers for all
kinds of voluminous materials.
In 1997,
Valvan Metaalkonstruktie was split
into Valvan Containers &
Milieutechniek and Valvan Baling
Systems. A necessary step because
both activities were growing apart
and needed a different approach. In
June of 1997, Valvan Baling Systems
entered the new factory in the
Krommebeekstraat. Thanks to the new
and modern machinery, Valvan Baling
Systems now has the possibility to
build larger and heavier machines.
In November
2000, Valvan Baling Systems acquired
the baling division of LVD,
Gullegem, Belgium.
