Corporation, located in Savannah,
Georgia (U.S.A), is the worldwide
leader in designing, manufacturing
and sales of cotton ginning
machinery. The
history of Lummus dates back to the
late 19th Century, when the
entepreneur  F.H.
Lummus launched in Juniper, Georgia,
a workshop for manufacturing cotton
ginning equipment. En 1891 he
founded the Company F.H. Lummus Sons
& Co., which was the seed of the
current Lummus Corporation.
In 1899, the
Company moved to Columbus, Georgia,
where it would remain for the next
100 years, starting with a 4-acre
property that was successively
enlarging to cover more than 35.000
sq. meters.
In 1999 the
Company moved to Savannah, Georgia,
to a modern building where the
worldwide headquarters are currently
